Propel NY Energy
New York Transco and New York Power Authority’s Propel NY Energy project was selected through a competitive process by the New York Independent System Operator.
Propel NY Energy will bolster parts of the electric transmission network on Long Island, in New York City, and across Westchester County, and provide the following benefits:
- Create a more resilient and reliable transmission system for New York homes and businesses;
- Provide a cleaner, healthier New York by enabling greater transmission of renewable, offshore wind energy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions;
- Support jobs in the clean energy and construction sectors, advancing New York’s clean energy economy; and,
- Help the State achieve its nation-leading climate goals.
